The venerable all-American burger – a staple of everyone’s diet.

Burgers are definitely comfort food and enjoyed year round. The thing is, burgers have evolved from a simple stack of ground beef and fixings to a favor palette for any hearty ingredient.

Whether you’re a meat eater or not, there are plenty of fantastic burger recipes on the Internet.

I’m finding four types of burger recipes: basic, stuff added into the meat, stuff added on the meat, and non-meat recipes.

Burgers are also easy to prepare, if you already have the ingredients. The two key skills: ability to squish some ingredients and the meat with your hands, and the ability not overcook the meat. Even easier if you’re a vegetarian.

Here’s a sample of great burger recipes from the Internet.

  1. Southwestern Burger from Epicurious.com
  2. Crunchburger from FoodNetwork.com
  3. Scallion Sesame Turkey Burger from Recipezaar.com
  4. Salmon Burgers from RealSimple.com
